![]() Yian Garuga's wings, back, ears, and beak can be wounded, and its tail can be severed. All right, so we already know MH4U is getting lots of awesome DLC this month (Metroid, Mega Man and Street Fighter!), but we have even more free goodies for ya! I present you two additional item packs, free of charge: MH4U Support Pack and MH4U Advanced Pack. The typical Yian Garuga individual appears in this game instead of Scarred Yian Garuga (not to be confused with One-Eared Yian Garuga).(Note: This glitch has been tested on the American version of Monster Hunter Freedom and it DOES NOT work on the European release.) The next time the player fights Yian Garuga, his health will already be substantially low, making it an easy win. When the time runs out the game will think the player done enough damage to the Yian Garuga to get a repel quest completion. (Players can also carve a Special Mushroom from a Mosswine like the ones in area 8 or gather a special mushroom at the gathering spot near the Elder if they do not have a Spiderweb). The simplest way to do this is to purchase a single Spiderweb from the shop before departing off on the quest, once the quest begins go to the Veggie Elder in area 7 and trade the spiderweb for a special mushroom. To perform the Yian Garuga Glitch in the "The Rage of Yian Garuga"/"Revenge of the Yian Garuga" village quest the player must have obtain a Special Mushroom AND must wait in area 7 until time runs out.In First Generation games that include Yian Garuga, it would be fought in the daytime even though it is a nocturnal predator the 1st generation did not have night-time quests. The damage the Yian Garuga has sustained will be carried over to the subsequent encounter, even if the quest is failed. After completing certain 3-Star Village Quests, the player will be given a 6-Star Special Quest, in which they are given 20 minutes to damage and repel Yian Garuga. However, as of the 15th Anniversary Monster Hunter Size Comparison video, Scarred Yian Garuga is officially considered to have debuted prior to Yian Garuga. Throughout the series history, Yian Garuga and Scarred Yian Garuga were treated as the same monster, often with one making an appearance while the other was absent. ![]()
